PRIOR TO Procedure, YOU MAY BE ASKED TO:
Prepare for your procedure with any necessary lab tests or a medical assessment.
Adjust your medications by either starting new medications or amending your current ones.
Quit smoking well in advance of the procedure, ideally at least 6-8 weeks beforehand.
Avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, and herbal supplements for a designated period before the procedure, as they can increase bleeding risk.
Schedule a pre-operative phone screening or visit to discuss any questions and finalize preparations.
JUST BEFORE PROCEDURE
You will be given a list of medications and supplements to avoid, if required, beforehand. Additionally, you may be asked to refrain from eating or drinking anything for six hours leading up to the procedure. Finally, it’s important to confirm you are not pregnant at the time of the procedure and that you maintain your regular weight.
